Progressive 3yo filly Gin Martini ran a brave front-running race to finish 3rd in the Group 1 2400m ATC Oaks at Royal Randwick on 9th April for trainer John Sargent and a devoted group of owners.
“She was absolutely incredible out there today, so gusty,” said Director of Tricolours Racing James Moss. He went on to say “She took the race right up to them, proving her strong staying pedigree, and was only overrun in the last stages of the race. We are so very proud of her, she is all class and I genuinely believe she will be winning a Group 1 race very soon, she very nearly did it today!”
Tricolours Racing confirmed that John Sargent is eyeing off the upcoming G1 Queensland Oaks as a possible target race for her.
