The John Sargent trained Ningaloo Star ran an impressive race at Goulburn (1300m) with Andrew Adkins aboard, to notch her first win at only her 3rd start. The smart Deep Field filly has improved with each race outing, and she holds a special place in the Tricolours stable being the half sister to their excellent race-mare Miss Moana from a few years back.
Director of Tricolours James Moss said “That was a terrific win from her, she is really furnishing into a lovely racehorse. She’ll likely get out a bit further in trip, and hopefully we can target some really nice races for her in the future. We will give a little freshen up now and then will bring her back”.
The filly’s next race is currently being planned.
“We have a mix of brand new owners to Tricolours as well as existing long-time Tricolours owners in her ownership group, and everyone is so excited to be a part of her” said Moss.
