3 year old Deep Field filly Ningaloo Star scored an impressive victory at Newcastle on the weekend over 1200m in a BM 64 with Keegan Latham in the saddle. The filly, trained by John Sargent, was having the second start of her prep following a first-up 4th placing at Goulburn.

"She has always shown very good ability from the get-go," said Tricolours Director James Moss. "She is the half sister to our wonderful staying mare Miss Moana from a few years back, and we are very excited about her future. I really think we have a good progressive filly on our hands here"
