Racehorse Syndication with Kerry Parker
Kerry Parker
Group 1-winning trainer Kerry Parker, who operates out of Kembla Grange, is a hands-on trainer with a genuine
and contagious passion for his sport. Drawing on three decades of experience as a strapper, jockey and trainer,
Kerry is an authentic “horseman”, giving him invaluable insight into the fitness and ability of every horse in his care.
About Kerry Parker
A native of the South Coast of NSW, Kerry’s first exposure to horses came through a trail-riding business part-
owned by his father. He learned his trade as a strapper and track rider under trainers including Errol Amos at
Canterbury, Sid Barker at Nowra and David Balfour in Adelaide — with the seminal chapter of his early career
being five years spent with high-profile Randwick trainer Les Bridge.
Kerry secured his own trainer’s licence in 1991, establishing his stables at Kembla Grange, where his horses have trained ever since on one of the finest racing surfaces in the country.
Kerry reached the pinnacle of a trainer’s career — Group 1 success — when Dark Dream won the Group 1
Queensland Derby in June 2018, guided from a maiden win at Moruya to Group 1 glory in a single preparation. He
built on that success in 2021 when Think It Over won the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes at Rosehill Gardens, before
going on to claim Kerry’s biggest win yet in April 2022 — the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes over 2000 metres at Royal Randwick.
