Better Than Ready x Big Time Girl
The Magic Millions sale each year manages to uncover a bargain. Horses such as The Playwright, Ballistic Lover, The Novelist, and Ready To Schipp were all Magic Millions purchases secured at a fraction of the sale average — and we’ve done it again this year!
We were thrilled to secure this stunning filly by outstanding stallion Better Than Ready. No sire in the history of Magic Millions Race Day has had more runners than Better Than Ready, and he remains one of the most under-rated stallions in the country. One of the great advantages of his progeny is their affordability.
Our filly will join our team with Toby Edmonds on the Gold Coast. Toby Edmonds and Tricolours boast a 100% winners-to-runners strike rate with the progeny of Better Than Ready, including our outstanding race mare Ready To Schipp.
This filly reminded me of Ready To Schipp as a yearling, and also of a filly we previously raced, Fasika, who was an exceptional racehorse in her own right. Check out the video below to see the similarities.
She is out of an Exceed and Excel mare, meaning she is bred on the same cross as Magic Millions winner Skirt The Law. Exceed and Excel has proven to be an exceptional broodmare sire, with horses such as Overpass, Astern, Alizee, and one of the most exciting fillies in the country, Tempted, all bred from Exceed and Excel mares. Adding further appeal, our filly is also closely related to globetrotting superstar Asfoora.
This filly is now on sale. Her share price includes all costs until April, and at just $5,125 (inc. GST) for a 5% share, she won’t last long. Given she is fully paid up for the Magic Millions race series and the QTIS bonus scheme, her earning potential is endless!
